PROFILE OF THE INSTITUTION
Acharya Patashala Polytechnic was established in the year 1958 by the visionary educationist Prof.N.Ananthachar, the founder of A.P.S. Educational Trust, which was established in 1935 prior to India’s independence. The trust was created with the noble objective of providing quality education to the economically disadvantaged and lower-middle-class sections of society at an affordable cost. Under the Second Five-Year Plan of the Government of India, Acharya Patashala. Polytechnic became the first government-aided polytechnic in Karnataka. Initially, the polytechnic offered diploma courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Over the years, it expanded its academic offerings to meet evolving industry demand Electronics and Communication Engineering was introduced in 1983. Computer Science Engineering was added in 1991, further strengthening its academic foundation.

Campus and Facilities
Located at Kanakapura Main Road (National Highway 209), the polytechnic is easily accessible through frequent BMTC and KSRTC buses from Bengaluru City and Kanakapura. The sprawling campus, spread across 97 acres, offers a pollution-free, traffic-free, and serene environment that promotes a conducive atmosphere for learning, akin to the traditional Gurukula system. The institution also provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
